I had adjustment number 5 today. I was praised for keeping up with my cleaning (:D). Then I got springs and rubber/elastic things put on the bottom molars and connecting to the front (bottom) teeth, to close the extraction gaps. Ouch! Next time, I will be given elastics that I'm supposed to put on myself... not sure how it's going to work exactly, I will be told at the next appointment. I believe the springy mechanics will also go on to close the top extraction gaps. It's all moving forward, and despite the pain I'm quite excited about it all, as my teeth already look great and I can't wait to see the end results.
There was a guy there who had his braces removed and all I could think about was "that'll be me in less than 1 year!!!" :D
Anyway, I'm glad this adjustment is out of the way, hopefully the pain will subside in time for Christmas, so I'm able to enjoy pain-free holidays, then the next adjustment is in the first week of January.
By the way, I've had the braces for HALF A YEAR!!!!! How quickly has time passed by, hey?
